Cherry Popping!

Well oh well! My first ever post and I’ve already hit the writer’s block wall. I’ll start with a quick introduction: my name is Emma, I live in a seaside town outside Dublin in Ireland, and I spend my days cooking, baking, sewing and generally nesting. When I have the time and money, and sometimes when I don’t, I usually end up taking a trip into Dublin, spending obscene amounts of time in Topshop trying on hats, looking at the pretty patterns and wishing they were on much nicer clothes, and then going home with a bag full of treats from charity shops or vintage corners in lovely shops. At the minute my favourite thing to do is plan an overhaul of my lovely big bedroom, new wallpaper, painting the floorboards, and filling black plastic bags with things to sell at a flea market. My biggest conflict is choosing a wallpaper pattern. I promise photos of the finished product! I have plans for a Recipe Of the Week and other regulars, as well as a few projects here and there, but we’ll see how we go! This is me:

Cardigan - Topshop; 50s Housedress - Wild Child Vintage; Belt - Thrifted

Not the most flattering of expressions! This is what I fondly call my apple dress, despite the fact that it has absolutely no apples anywhere on it.

PS – I have to give a special mention to the very lovely Aya of Strawberry Koi who sold me a lovely dress that I can’t wait to show off when it arrives and gave me some words of wisdom. Thank you!

Awe, you look absolutely beautiful!!! That dress and cardigan together make a perfect combination!

Thank you so much for honoring me in this post – and don’t worry about the writer’s block… it’s only natural at first! :)
